Scholarship Requirements
Eligibility Requirements for Applicants:
1. Must currently be a high school senior in a public, private or homeschool
2. Must currently live in York County, South Carolina
3. Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
4. Must plan to attend vocational training or a post-secondary institution such as a technical, 2-year or 4-year
college/university; and
5. Must submit a completed application by the deadline to be eligible.
6. May not be related to anyone on the Moms for Liberty York County executive team; however, relatives of members of the chapter are encouraged to apply!
7. Scholarship winner will be publicly acknowledged in a special ceremony.
Application Procedure:
1. Prepare an essay answering the question: "What does life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness mean to you?"
2. Essay should be a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 1000 words. The typed document should be 12 point font with one inch margins and double spaced.
3. Submit a recommendation letter along with your essay from a teacher, coach or another non-relative adult.
4. Obtain a copy of your high school transcript through fall of your senior year.
5. Also submit a SEPARATE document outlining how you plan to utilize the scholarship (a few sentences is fine). What vocational school, college or university will you utilize these funds at?
5. Email a PDF of the essay, recommendation letter, high school transcript and statement of how you plan to use the scholarship fund to: yorkscmomsforliberty@gmail.com.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 16, 2025 at 12 PM
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDED: We will announce the winner by May 30.
